Spring is Expensive

So far this month, we’ve had estimates to repair the fence, repair the seal on the kitchen window, and replace the gutters. I think before anyone buys a house, they should look at all the things they will have to repair or replace over the life of the house, figure out what that will cost, and see if they come out ahead renting and investing the money they would have spent on replacements and repairs, or if they come out ahead on buying the house. I’m fairly certain in most cases you would come out ahead renting and investing, especially if you’re looking at a 30 year loan.
