The Great MD vs. VA Beer Off

For the 4th of July, in the grand recent tradition of our family, we had a taste test. We love a good taste test around here, and this time we decided to pit Maryland craft brewers against Virginia craft brewers and great fun was had by all. What did we learn? In three out of five categories, Virginia won, but Maryland brews better porters and stouts than Virginia. Most importantly, we learned that Devil’s Backbone Brewing Company’s Vienna Lager is the best beer brewed in either state, because it’s the one we all chose as our favorite. Good stuff. I have to say, the kids were great when they were little, but it’s so much more fun now that they’re all grown up.
